Returns

Return Rules

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at customercare@saltypeople.co If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Return Instructions

We want your return process to be as smooth as possible. Please follow the steps below to ensure your return is processed quickly and efficiently:

1. Notify Us by Email

Before sending your item back, please inform us of your return request via email at customercare@saltypeople.co. Our customer care team will review your request and provide you with the next steps.

2. Complete the Return Card

Inside every package, you will find a Return Card. Please:

  • Read the card carefully.

  • Fill it out completely and accurately (including order number, product details, and reason for return).

  • Include the completed Return Card in the package with the product you are returning.

3. Send Your Package

For hygiene and safety reasons, we can only accept returns if the following conditions are met:

  • The item must be unworn, unwashed, and undamaged.

  • All tags and labels must be attached.

  • The protective hygiene liner (for bikini bottoms and one-pieces) must be intact and not removed.

  • The product must be returned in its original packaging (including dust bag, if provided).

Returns that do not meet these requirements cannot be accepted.

4. Inspection at Our Warehouse

Once your return reaches our warehouse, our quality control team will carefully inspect the product to ensure it meets our return conditions:

  • The item must be unworn, unwashed, and in its original condition.

  • All tags, packaging, and accessories must be intact.

5. Evaluation and Confirmation

  • Returns are typically reviewed and evaluated within 5 business days of the product arriving at our warehouse.

  • After inspection, you will receive an email confirming whether your return has been approved or declined.

6. Refund Processing

  • If your return is approved, your refund will be initiated the same day we confirm your return.

  • You will receive an email confirming that the refund has been processed.

7. Bank Processing Times

  • Please note that once we have issued your refund, your bank or payment provider is responsible for crediting the amount back to your account.

  • Refunds usually appear within 3 business days depending on your bank.

  • If you do not see your refund after this time, please first check with your bank. If the issue persists, contact us at customercare@saltypeople.co and we will be happy to assist you.

 

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items

Please note that certain items cannot be returned due to their nature:

  • Swimwear bottoms and one-piece swimsuits where the hygiene liner has been removed or tampered with. For hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns of such products.

  • Custom-made or personalized products (such as special orders).

  • Sale or discounted items – all sale purchases are final.

  • Gift cards – non-refundable and non-returnable.

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. If you would like a different size, color, or style, the fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have. Once your return is accepted and refunded, you can place a new order for the desired item. This way, availability is guaranteed and your replacement item will be shipped without delay.


Hygiene & Return Policy Notice

At Salty People, customer safety and hygiene are our top priorities. Swimwear items such as bikinis and one-pieces are classified as hygiene-sensitive products. For this reason, we kindly ask all customers to respect the rules we have set to ensure the hygiene of our products and to protect personal health standards.

According to the Turkish Consumer Protection Law (Law No. 6502) and the Distance Sales Regulation (Article 15/1-e), as well as the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU, Article 16(e)), the right of withdrawal (return) may not apply to goods that cannot be returned for health protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed after delivery.

Therefore, returns are only accepted if:

  • The product has not been worn, washed, or damaged.

  • The hygiene liner is intact and has not been removed.

  • All tags, labels, and original packaging are included.

If these standards are not met, the return may be refused at our discretion, in line with applicable consumer laws.
